Until I touch the Sun by Lexi Flint day 7 April Poem a day challenge #APRPAD

Until I touch the Sun

Alone I stand

At the precipice of the earth

I am the master of all that I survey

The air that I breathe

The clouds hover just above my finger tips

One more inch and I could touch the heavens

On the wings of eagles

I soar through the sky

I glide through the valleys below

calling out;

I scream at the top of my lungs

Yet no one can hear me

So I climb higher

I am alone

On this my journey

And I will not stop

Until I touch the sun.
